Striving to Live A Life of Purpose:  My Journey from Teenage Mom to PhD Graduate is my personal story.  It is a story that demonstrates God's unconditional love for a woman who was lost, who lacked confidence and most of all who lacked purpose.  I have come to realize over the years that not only is this my story, but it is the story of many other women.  For this reason, it has become my purpose to inspire and empower women from all over the world to become amazingly confident in their God-given identity and to walk boldly in their purpose.

I became a mother at the age of 18 years old and it took me a very long time to realize that even in this God had purpose.  I was married and divorced by the age of 25 years old and yet again it was hard for me to see how God could have purpose in the midst of my hurt and rejection.  After my divorce, I was homeless and while I was sleeping on the floor of different churches, God's purpose for my life was as unclear as it had ever been.  However, in the midst of it all God had a plan and a divine purpose for my life.

After years of struggling with my faith and the uncertainty of whether or not God truly had purpose for my life, I got really serious about seeking answers from God.  It was during this time that God spoke to me about going back to school to obtain my PhD.  This was yet another milestone in my life that would only be accomplished through faith.  

During my time as a PhD student, God began to reveal more pieces to the puzzle of my life.  He gave me clarity around my gift and passion to inspire, empower and educate others.  He began to reveal to me how my personal story would be a blessing and a breakthrough for many other Christian women who would experience many of the same struggles that I had overcome.  

It goes without saying that God brought me through everything that I mentioned and many other things that I cannot even begin to share in this small space.

It has become my mission to create a movement among Christian women who will declare the love and faithfulness of God.  It is my heart's desire to help women begin to identify God's mighty hand at work in their lives even in the darkest moments.  Through all of the hurt and pain, God is weaving a beautiful tapestry of purpose that will not only change your life but also has the power to transform the lives of all those connected to you.

I am excited that you have decided to join the purpose movement and become a part of what God is doing in this season.  I am praying for you and with you as God continues to unveil His divine plan specifically for your life.
